September

What? Another generic post? What's going on? Well, more rain, Seth was still in the states and I still had morning sickness to deal with. My favorite doctor's appointment was when they did blood work and I was told that I needed more Vitamin D. I asked the best way to get it and the midwife said spend time outside. Then she looked at me and said, 'oh, never mind, it needs to stop raining first.'

But we did do something!!

We went to the Melbourne Museum where this tile/lego board is Lilly's favorite activity:

Seth sent me flowers for our anniversary which was August 31 but I was trying to wait for the flowers to open before I took the pictures. They were awesome and a great pick-me-up that day. (I did have a friend deliver Seth some flowers at the hotel.)

Lilly and I went to the zoo to see the baby elephants. The one I got a picture of was about 6 months old. There was also a baby that was only about a week old but no where to be seen at the moment.

And Lilly really just wanted to play on the playground anyway . . .

Lilly and I braved the rain and went to the Royal Melbourne Show (aka state fair). Of all the things they have to see, Lilly just wanted to hold the chickens. And so, she held the chickens.

August

I know what you are thinking, 'how can she title it August?'. Well, I'm being very generic because Lilly and I didn't do a lot in August. Seriously. We had two months of winter in the states and when we got back here, we were hit with every bug under the sun. Only it wasn't sunny. Victoria was getting more rain than they had received in years. People were talking about taking their kids to see lakes that had been dry for a decade. Melbourne downgraded the water restrictions to Stage 2. And, I may have had some serious morning sickness . . .

So what did we do? Well, Lilly went back to Kinder two days a week. We started swimming lessons back up (she became this amazing fish while we were gone apparently) and got back into soccer. I think I slept most of August, although I did play some more indoor.

And there is August. See? I don't even have a picture to share.

Last Weekend in the States

Seth's cousin was getting married near San Fran so it was a good chance for Lilly and I to fly out that direction and break up our flights a little bit. So the three of us flew out together (Seth was completely in charge of Lilly on these flights!). We were able to spend some time with Seth's family as well as some friends in San Fran.

We did all the very touristy bits while we were hanging out with our friends. We even ended the day with a late dinner at one of those places where they just walk around with meat on sticks. Seeing as how we had dessert at Ghirardellis beforehand, I pretty much needed to be rolled out of there.

The wedding was great fun and Lilly got to dance a lot!

Of course the sad bit was that the next day Lilly and I had to board a plane and fly to Australia. Due to timing and meeting family we only had time for a quick good-bye with Seth. It was probably for the best, I was nervous about flying back out without knowing when his return date would be. But, we were fine the two months before we came to the states, what could go wrong?

End of July Fun

I stayed a few more days with Jaime and Michelle. Michelle and I tried to get some scrapbook stuff done. The kids got to play a lot together and Lilly really loved hanging out with Uncle Jaime.

I think James would have been ok with the house staying with them.

July 25

This was the day we celebrated the twins' birthday! I was happy I could be there to share in the fun. They had a Two! Two! Train party. I hope you see the joke in that. Anyway, here are some pics from the party.

Lilly tried to be patient.
I don't know who put the hat on my head, it might not have fit any better than that (I know I have a big head). Photography by Lilly:
Proud daddy Jaime with Jenna:
James with his new bat (we took it away soon after, it should be an outside activity):

July 12-18

Mom and Bob were getting ready to go to a convention so Lilly and I spent a lot of time in their store attempting to help them pack. I did some computer work for them and Lilly just spent time moving things around.

After they left Emily and her girls came and stayed for the rest of the week. And boy did we P-A-R-T-Y! Ok, we didn't, we were really lame. The only party we had was for Emily's birthday. The girls spent the week playing together and Emily and I . . . well, we may have gotten some scrapbooking done.

We did go see the sights a bit. Really, we went to the beach and climbed the dunes. Here are Abby and Paige at one of the local parks.

July 5 - July 11

Before we left the Akron area we ran over to the Akron Zoo. We went with Seth's family and we met Seth's longtime friend, Marc (who happened to bring his family). It was great to see Marc and Celina and Lilly loved playing with their older daughter, Rowan.

(Seth and Marc have been friends 'forever' so it is always great to get the two families together.)

Back in Michigan it warmed up enough to use the hotel pool. Lilly loved using the goggles while we were with the Bolens at the Troy Aquatic Park so we picked up a pair for her. She also had a test run of the water wings when we were at camp. With both of these items she became a little fish. She wasn't afraid of swimming in the deeper part of the water or sticking her head in. After watching a little girl jump in and swim around, Lilly decided she was cool enough to do the same thing. Whenever we would go to the pool Lilly put all her gear on and walked down the hall and down all the stairs just like this. If she had some flippers, it would have been awesome, but she would have been crawling.

Wednesday evening Lilly and I took the train to Michigan City, Indiana to spend time with my mom. It was nice not having to drive. If I could have slept, it would have been even better.

Thursday we played around at the store and then we found a park to play in. The park was mainly these huge tires everywhere for the kids to jump around on. Very interesting concept. Lilly was impressed by the snake.

Friday my brother and Michelle came with the twins but I left to go to Gary for the day. The Thunderbirds were having their practice time for the airshow and I wanted to see if I could get some pictures. It turned out to be a beautiful day. Lilly and I met Emily and her girls and we headed to the beach. The younger girls played while Emily and I practiced our photography skills with the T-birds. It was absolutely awesome. In case you don't know, I have a cousin who flew with them for the past two years. This was my first chance to see them. I've said it before and I'll say it again, my dad would have been so proud.

From what I've been told, my cousin is the back end of the diamond.

Since we were on the beach, there was lots of water and sand to think about. It was just a bit chilly for the girls to go into the lake (and I really didn't want Lilly in there) so they were satisfied with hunting for shells. Don't ask what Lilly was doing, but there was some sort of accident:

It was hysterical and boy was she mad when I took pictures instead of cleaning her up.

My mom had stayed home with the twins and played with them all day. When I got home Jaime and Michelle were running late so I helped get them all ready for bed. They had their mild while sitting on Grandma's lap. But really, who do you think was more tired?

Saturday Seth got out to Indiana and everyone headed to Gary to see the airshow. We ended up having quite the Weaver crowd. It was fun to see my cousins that I hadn't seen in two years. I never did get to talk to or see Sean in person but I still had a really good time watching him fly.

In the evening, all the Weavers went out for pizza. There is a picture of all of us, but again, I for some reason don't have it!

Sunday we tried to make it to the airshow again but it just wasn't in the cards. Instead our family headed for lunch before Jaime and Michelle went back to Columbus. Lunch did not go smoothly and the first half we were split between two tables that were not close together. In the end we got to sit together and we tried to watch the finals of the World Cup.

Sorry to those that actually pay attention to the blog. I know I'm not writing anything cool or fun and the pictures aren't fab, but I really want to catch up! I have approximately three weeks until the new addition and I'm sure I'll want to post those sooner than Halloween!
