While Seth was taking pictures of whales, I was with Adlai.
He didn't get the awesomeness of the whales even when he was awake.
Have you ever been on a whale watch tour? A whale will be spotted in the distance so the captain drives closer. Then everyone sits and waits until it is sighted again. Someone yells “whale!” and everyone goes running to that side of the boat. The whales will surface for a few seconds and then go under. And then everyone waits until someone yells “over there!” and there is more running. It goes on for hours! Every once in a while the captain moves the boat to see a different whale. That's when everyone charges for refreshments. It's like going to the bathroom at half time. Here the whales went right under the boat. So everyone was watching and then ran to the other side to see them again. It's a hoot to just people watch on these things.
Oh, and when you go back and look at your pictures, you look for a little dot. Luckily we have a pretty good camera. I should have edited the pics so you can see the whales a little better. But that takes more patience than I have right now. Maybe I'll get to one in the new year. Um, yeah, it could happen.
That was just because they were cute. And no editing was needed.
After our day out we headed to our last place of residence. We found a great deal on a beach side hotel in Coloundra. I was really looking forward to some rest and relaxation!
