Adlai discovered my slippers. I think he likes them.

An Easter . . .
Somehow I missed these pictures when I posted about our egg finding expedition. My mom sent me Lilly and Adlai a package. Upon opening I the kids squealed in delight at the goodies. I Lilly was so excited to see a Peanut Butter Chocolate bunny. Upon further inspection I Lilly saw that the bunny didn't make it.
But boy was it good. At least that was what Lilly told me. Just kidding, I ate the whole thing!

Top This!
As the one year mark hit for all the babies in the mom's group we weren't sure how to go about the birthdays. I invited everyone as we don't have family here and I wanted a little celebration (what? you didn't see pictures? Well yeah, cause somehow we didn't take any. I'm a terrible mommy.). Some people invited others, some didn't. There were no complaints either way.
One birthday involved a petting farm. I have a feeling we will want to be invited to all their parties.

Lilly enjoys the moms group because she gets to do cool stuff.
Standing close was awesome. Petting was optional.
I think he thinks something is going to chase him and eat him.
Is there a reason we look uncomfortable and awkward? Because we were uncomfortable and awkward and that little rodent thing was sliding off my lap. And the guinea pig thing was, too.
Really, at that point I was trying to get Seth to stop taking pictures and help me with removal.
Why yes, that is a chicken on my arm.

Masters - It's the Upside Down Lowes
We have a new hardware store in town. They are Lowes in some sort of way. Which means awesome kits for the kids to put together. And that Emily doesn't need to send up more!
So the kids get an apron and goggles. I don't think we got a patch. We tried to go to the first one they had but we were given the wrong details and showed up too late (and possibly at the wrong store). But here we go:

We'll start with Adlai who found a new home.
Lilly had a sleep over the night before and may have needed a little extra help to keep her melting down.
She's figuring out the easiest method to put it all together.
And the engine to Lilly's train.
Because we missed the first one, they let us do the engine and the coal car on the same day. I don't have coal car pictures because we had to move very quickly through that one. And then we went home and Lilly slept for a few hours. Oh, and so did everyone else.

One More Use for the Kitchen Utensils
Adlai loves to get into the kitchen drawers.
This is currently his favorite toy out of there.
He cracks me up.

A Hip A Hop A Hippity Hip Hop
Lilly awoke to baskets on the table. There was candy. A few toys.
Some decorations from previous years. Surprisingly, anything on the table ended up in her basket. And that included all the decorations. She tried to swipe extra bunnies but I was on to her.
Adlai enjoyed finding the two eggs he was able to get to before Lilly.
And he enjoyed wearing bunny ears for a few pictures.
I think he was trying to hide the eggs again.
Or at least hide them from Lilly.
